Common questions

Straight answers, before you ask.

When are CRA payroll remittances due?

For most small employers (regular remitters), source deductions — CPP, EI, and income tax — are due by the 15th of the month following the pay period. Larger employers remit more frequently. We track and file every deadline for you.

Do I need to register for GST/HST?

Registration is mandatory once your business exceeds $30,000 in revenue over four consecutive calendar quarters. Voluntary early registration can also make sense to recover input tax credits — we advise case by case.

Can you handle payroll for multiple locations?

Yes — multi-location payroll is a core strength. We consolidate remittances and reporting across locations and entities, so a multi-site group closes payroll as easily as a single office.

What’s the difference between a compilation and an audit?

A compilation assembles your financial statements without assurance — sufficient for most banks and CRA needs. Audits and reviews provide assurance levels typically required by investors or lenders. We help you choose the right level.

How does fixed-fee pricing work?

After a free consultation, you receive a written quote within 48 hours covering an agreed scope. The fee doesn’t move unless the scope does — no hourly surprises at year-end.

How do consultations work?

The first consultation is free — 30 minutes, in person or by video. We review your current setup, identify gaps and quick wins, and follow up with a fixed-fee proposal. No obligation.
